- The person who made the reservation must check in with Nova Staff and is responsible for all damages and overage charges.
- The studio must be returned in the same condition it was received. All personal items must be removed before the end of the reservation. Nova Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or abandoned items. The renter is financially responsible for any damage caused during the rental period.
- Maximum occupancy is 20 people, including all clients, talent, and crew. Nova Studio staff are not included in this count.
- Free parking is available on La France Street and in the parking deck at 285 Mayson Ave NE (Levels 1–2 only). MARTA-reserved spaces are prohibited. Retail parking spaces may be used after 10:00 AM. Nova Studio is not responsible for parking citations, towing, or vehicle damage.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the building and within 30 feet of all entrances.
- Noise levels must remain respectful of neighboring tenants. Renters assume responsibility for any complaints, violations, or fines resulting from excessive noise.
- Pets are not permitted. Unauthorized animals will result in a $500 fee.
- Illegal, hazardous, negligent, or unsafe activities are strictly prohibited. Open flames of any kind—including candles, incense, matches, lighters, Sterno, or similar items—are not permitted. The studio may not be used to create or film pornographic or explicit content. Violations may result in immediate termination of the reservation without refund.
- All photography, filming, and production activities must remain within the studio. Use of hallways, common areas, parking lots, or exterior spaces is prohibited unless expressly approved.
- Equipment, props, and personal belongings may not be stored before or after a reservation without prior written approval.
- Setup, breakdown, cleaning, and load-out must occur within the reserved booking period. All furniture, props, and equipment must be returned to their original locations before departure.
- Renters are responsible for all damage occurring during their reservation. Broken, stained, missing, or damaged items will be charged at full replacement value (MSRP), plus any applicable labor, repair, or restoration costs.
- Glitter, confetti, smoke bombs, smoke machines, body oils, powders, and other difficult-to-clean materials are prohibited. Violations may result in cleaning fees beginning at $150.
- Limewashed walls and finishes are delicate and porous. Do not lean on, sit on, place items against, or set food and beverages on limewashed surfaces. The limewashed bench may be used as intended. Any staining, scuffing, or damage requiring restoration will be charged to the renter.
- The partition wall is a permanent installation and may not be moved, adjusted, climbed on, or leaned against. Any resulting damage or required repositioning will be billed to the renter.
- To protect the studio flooring, renters and crew members must remove shoes or wear provided shoe covers. Talent may wear shoes when required for photography or filming. Floors may become slippery, and all guests assume responsibility for exercising appropriate caution.
- Food and beverages are permitted only in designated areas. Any spills, stains, or damage to furniture, walls, or flooring may result in cleaning or replacement fees.
- The studio must be left broom-swept, orderly, and free of trash. Excessive mess, spills, or failure to restore the space may result in cleaning fees ranging from $50–$500.
- Cancellations & Rescheduling
- 72+ hours before your scheduled reservation: You may reschedule your booking one time at no additional charge. Your reservation may be moved to another available date and time within the same calendar year.
- 24–72 hours before your scheduled reservation: Rescheduling is permitted with a $50 rescheduling fee, subject to availability.
- Less than 24 hours before your scheduled reservation / same-day cancellations and no-shows: 100% of the reservation payment is forfeited and cannot be transferred or credited.
- If the new reservation date or time carries a higher rental rate; including weekend, holiday, peak-season, or other premium rates; the client is responsible for paying the difference in full before the rescheduled reservation is confirmed. The rescheduled booking will not be considered finalized until any additional balance has been paid.
- Reservations cannot be shortened or reduced after booking in order to receive a partial refund or credit.
- Reservations must be paid in full to secure a booking and all reservations and money paid are final. Any time used beyond the scheduled reservation period, including early access or late departure, will be billed as overtime at $125 per hour January – September, and $165 per hour October – December, prorated in 15-minute increments. A valid card on file is required for all bookings. By reserving the studio, the renter authorizes Nova Studio to charge the card on file for overtime, damages, excessive cleaning, replacement costs, policy violations, or any unpaid balances related to the reservation. Any invoice for additional time and/or damages must be paid in full by the end of the reservation date. A $100 late fee will be added for each calendar day the invoice remains unpaid.
- The renter is responsible for the conduct of all guests, clients, vendors, talent, and crew associated with the reservation. Any damages, violations, or misconduct will be attributed to the renter. Common areas are monitored by video surveillance for safety, security, and policy compliance.
- Nova Studio reserves the right to immediately terminate any reservation without refund for unsafe, illegal, disruptive, abusive, or explicit activity.
- Use of the studio is entirely at the renter’s own risk. The renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Nova Studio, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, injuries, damages, losses, costs, or liabilities arising from use of the premises.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE GUIDELINES WILL BE GROUNDS FOR LOSS OF FUTURE ACCESS TO OUR STUDIOS AND/OR ADDITIONAL CHARGES
